Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH)
As people age and become frail their independence may diminish, but not necessarily their enjoyment of life at home with its familiar surroundings and neighbourly interaction.
Indeed, in certain circumstances their lives may be enriched by staying in their normal home environment with the appropriate level of care.
To help provide this balance, Life Care delivers 'Extended Aged Care at Home', or 'EACH' packages, in the southern region of Adelaide.
An EACH package, designed and tailored with clients, is flexible in order to respond to changing circumstances - described as high care with a more intensive commitment to help people remain happy and comfortable at home, while providing peace of mind for their families and friends.
Developed together with clients, packages are designed with the flexibility to respond to changing circumstances - a tailored program may be in the form of:
- assistance with showering or dressing;
- wound, pain and medication management;
- physiotherapy or podiatry;
- provision of lifestyle or mobility aids;
- support of regular social interests;
- preparation of meals, or
- help with household cleaning.
An EACH package provides well-being at home for people with significant needs before transition to residential care becomes the main consideration.
